PROJECT: Developing Eastern Europe’s first EV conference
Challenge: To support our partner in Croatia to raise awareness and interest in low carbon vehicles.
What we did: Here at Zero Carbon Futures, we’re great believers in the importance of getting people interested in low carbon vehicles and spreading the word far and wide especially about electric vehicle charging networks. When we were approached by our colleagues in Croatia from consultancy company Savjetura who were looking to raise awareness of the EV sector in Eastern Europe, we were only happy to help.
With our company’s extensive experience of event management in the EV sector and Savjetura’s knowledge of the local market, we came together to develop South East Europe’s first dedicated event to e-mobility: E-MobilitySE.
Our aim for the day was to take the topic of e-mobility to this new market of South East Europe, sharing learnings from more advanced European cities and countries and ultimately build partnerships which could ultimately spark interest in becoming involved in future European projects.
The event, which was held in Zagreb in November 2015, attracted high profile speakers from organisations such as the European Commission, Nissan Central Europe, ESB, Austriatech, Denmark and Stedin in the Netherlands and of course we included a few Zero Carbon Futures’ speakers on the agenda.
Complimenting the day-long programme was a Ride & Drive programme which were incredibly popular with many delegates many of whom had never having experienced an electric vehicle before.
Result: Over 140 delegates attended the event, made up of a mix of public, private and educational establishments. The event attracted delegates not only from Croatia but from neighbouring countries including Austria, Hungary and Montenegro.
